The sweater is named after my younger sister who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the age of 52.

All proceeds from the sale of the pattern go to the Alzheimer’s Association in Iceland.

The Ellý sweater is worked from the bottom up. The body and sleeves are worked separately in the round and then gathered on the circular needle for the lace work combining raglan/round yoke. Short rows are worked at the top to shape the neckline.

The Ellý sweater is designed to have approx. 0-5 cm 0-2.5 inches of positive ease.

Needles: Circular needles: 2.75mm US2 and 3.25mm US3 / 40, 60 and 80-100 cm / 16, 24, 32-40 inches
Double-pointed needles: 2.75mm US2 and 3.25mm US3

Gauge: 26 sts x 40 rows = 10x10 cm 4 x 4 inches in stockinette on larger needles.
