Recommended circular needle 4 mm / US 6 in 80 cm / 32 inches length

Gauge:

23 sts and 21 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches after wash and blocking.

Procedure:

The shawl is worked back and forth on a circular needle.
It is knitted from the middle of the back of the neck outward, starting with a short i-cord that continues as small, delicate cables along the edges, with double cables running down the center of the shawl, and finishing with a wide border of double cables.
Increases are made at the edges and along the center cables on every other row. The cables are worked on every 4th row and are made without a cable needle.
