Jetzt auch auf Deutsch! And with a new, stretchier border option.

Designed for fast-growing babies (but irresistible at all ages), this hat features a brim that can be folded up or down to allow more room as the wearer grows. It is offered in sizes to fit everyone from just born to large adult, with a choice of three interchangeable border patterns using different techniques – you won’t be able to stop at knitting just one!
The Pixi border is a twisted rib chevron stitch, offering great elasticity. Poppy is a lace variation on that pattern, while Pumuckl’s garter stitch chevrons show off variegated yarns beautifully. Use up your sock yarn scraps (it accommodates stripes beautifully) or splurge on a gorgeous new skein to treat your noggin.
Errata – In the cap shaping, the numbers for the second decrease section should read: “then every 3rd rnd until 24 (32, 36, 40, 40) {44, 48} sts remain”
Note (24.11.2018): I have just updated the pattern with a new, stretchier border to replace the Pippi option. You can still get the Pippi style by working the Poppy border with plain knit stitches instead of twisted ribbing between yarn-overs.
