Elf Louie uses a 2 mm hook and a 2.75 mm hook for the present. I used Hobbii Rainbow Deluxe Cotton 8/4 and Hobbii Rainbow Cotton 8/6 yarn. When using the recommended hook size, yarn and yarn under (x stitch), he measures 3.5 inches/8.9 centimeters.

Other materials needed are:
7.5 mm safety eyes
5/8” ribbon
Wire or a pipe cleaner
Gold embroidery floss
Polyfill stuffing

Some of the skills used in this pattern are chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, magic ring, increase, decrease, front loop only, back loop only and finish off. The pattern includes complete assembly details with pictures.
