Pattern Description from Cast On, November 2009-January 2010: “This simple hat makes a wonderful gift for a baby. Quick and easy to knit, the hat may be worked in any number of colors. Use the ‘jogless join’ technique to avoid the row stair steps when the color is changed.”

- Size 3 (3.5mm) 16” (40cm) circular needle (The hat can be knit with a longer needles & the “Magic Loop” technique.) or size need to obtain correct gauge
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch marker
- Row markers or waste yarn

- Debbie Bliss BABY CASHMERINO (1.76oz/50g, 137yds/125m, 55% Merino Wool, 33% Microfibre, 12% Cashmere): 1 (2, 2) skeins #101 Whie (A), 1 (1, 2) skeins #01 Yellow (B)
Three Color Hat:
- Debbie Bliss BABY CASHMERINO (as above): 1 (2, 2) skeins #101 White (A), 1 (1, 1) skeins #01 Yellow (B), 1 (1, 1) #027 Blue (C)

Designer Note: Stripes: The stripes on this hat can be worked in a variety of ways. In all of the sample hats, the white stripes alternate with one or two colors.
Gauge: In St st with Size 3 (3.5mm), 26 sts & 36 rows = 4”/10 cm. To save time, take time to check gauge.
