Elemental
Fisherman’s Rib is a stitch pattern that yields a delightfully squishy, springy fabric. When coupled with a dense and delicious yarn like Marianated Yarns Playtime DK, the result is a scarf that is beautifully luxe and luxuriously beautiful! This pattern includes directions for a scarf that is one color, as well as a two-tone variation. The former is a super simple, guaranteed-you-won’t-forget–where-you-left-off project, perfect for Knitflixing. If you’re looking for something just slightly more adventurous, this pattern is a perfect introduction to intarsia, a wonderful technique for adding another hue to your project. The resulting bold, vertical stripes are a terrific way to play with color!
Fisherman’s Rib requires a technique known as “knitting into the row below”. I have recorded a video demonstrating this, as well as the other steps found within the pattern. You can find the video on my YouTube channel here.
