Inspired by drawings in the illuminated medieval Irish manuscript, the Book of Kells, this classic Celtic design has unusual cables that start in the middle of plain knitting. The cables seem to appear out of nowhere. While not for the faint of heart, the resulting rug is so beautiful, it will be a showpiece for many years.
