Jazz up your wardrobe with this electrifying shawl! The Electric Slide’s asymmetrical shape features rows of garter stitch interspersed with slipped stitches at staggered intervals, lighting up the shawl with bright pops of color. The shawl ends with an optional slipped-stitch edge that could also be worked as plain garter stitch.
Gauge is not critical for this pattern, but using a different weight of yarn or needle size will affect the size of the finished shawl and the amount of yarn needed. The length of the shawl may be increased or decreased by adding or subtracting repeats of the main pattern.
The sample uses a neutral main color with five contrasting colors. Knitters might also pair a main color with a single contrasting yarn, or as many contrasting colors as one would like. This project could be a great way to stashbust any worsted weight leftovers for the stripes.
Size:
66” / 167.5 cm in length and 21” / 53 cm deep at deepest point

370 yds / 338 m of a main color and 140 yds / 128 m total of contrasting color(s) in a worsted weight yarn
