Eiffel Tower Wall Hanging
In April 2021, in issue 68, Crochet Now! published my Eiffel Tower Wall Hanging. What a dream come true to be published in a magazine! Read about my first magazine experience here: http://ashleeslint.com/2021/04/19/eiffel-tower/
The magazine version of this pattern was written in UK terminology for overlay mosaic crochet only.
Now that the rights to the pattern have reverted to me, I am publishing it using my normal template. I use US terminology and I write up my patterns for two techniques: interlocking crochet and overlay mosaic crochet. Charts are also included (x’s mark the dropped dc for the mosaic version).
The black and white sample in the image uses only two colors and was done by an Anonymous Squirrel using the interlocking technique. The mosaic sample I made for the magazine uses 7 colors (1 main color and a series of 6 contrasting colors).
The mosaic version has fringe along both sides as a by-product of the technique. You may wish to add fringe to your interlocking project.
I wish I had a better picture of myself, but I was too excited to get dressed up before taking my photo with the magazine; that’s my “is this real?” face.
You will receive one file containing:
- the interlocking line-by-line instructions
- a one-page chart (117 x 211)
- a multi-page chart
And another file containing;
- the overlay mosaic line-by-line instructions
- a single page and multi-page chart (117 x 211) marked with X’s for mosaic crochet
I have YouTube tutorials available for both crochet methods! Follow this link to get to my YouTube channel and find my other social links.
