Éfréjio is worked with Skeinwalker Yarns, hand-dyed in small batches! Come and check out Skeinwalker Yarns! They are available at Atelier Skeinwalker on Etsy!

Like a living jewel, the peacock plumage moves and shifts from seafoam greens to deeper emerald pools, teals and deep golds. Each eyespot holds starlight, mesmerizing constellations of colors that quiver and breathe. The iridescence defies earthly description. Hues flow seamlessly into each other, like hypnotizing patterns painted on silk.
The Éfréjio scarf / stole celebrates the peacock’s chromatic poetry. Three complementary lace patterns create architectural feathery effects. Triangle and diamond progressions, as well as subtly textured lace-based lattices mirror feather structures and shapes. Strategically placed yarn-overs form the unmistakable ocelli — those hypnotic peacock eyespots.
Immerse yourself in this choreography of color, light, and pattern. Knit your own study in iridescence, and revel in beauty and comforting stitches.

The Éfréjio scarf / stole name is born from the French “éventail” (fan) and “frémissement” (tremor). It also borrows letters from “ocellus” (the scientific term for the peacock eyespots), and Juno, the Roman goddess whose sacred animal was the peacock.

For best effect, use a smooth, round yarn with reasonable stitch definition. Yarn weights ranging from Fingering to Aran would be suitable. As for colorways, I would recommend solid, semi-solid, speckled, or gradient (single skein or gradient set) yarns.
