• Omega Cotton Thread Size 10 (1 oz/173 yds/30g per ball): 1 ball #137 turquoise
• Omega Cotton Thread Size 5 (1 3/4 oz/ 164 yds/50g per ball): 1 ball #66 green leaf
• Size 7/1.65mm steel crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• Size 0/3.25 steel crochet hook (or size D/3/3.25mm crochet hook) or size needed to obtain gauge
• Tapestry needle
• Sewing needle
• Hand towel
• 1/8- or 1/4-inch-wide ribbon 2 inches longer than towel width in desired color
• Fabric glue (optional)
• Matching sewing thread
• Rustproof straight pins

Gauge
With size 10 thread and smaller hook:
1 shell = 7/8 inches wide
2 shells = 13/4 inches wide
With size 5 thread and larger hook:
1 shell = 1 1/3 inches wide
2 shells = 2 5/8 inches wide
