Easy Cluster Throw
A free version is also available.
Looking for a quick and easy crochet throw pattern? This pattern using super bulky yarn is cozy and warm and works up super quickly!
I love a project that works up quickly and is easy enough that I can watch a show with my husband. I fell in love with this yarn and wanted to make a blanket with it – so I decided to combine all three!
This is made with a simple single crochet cluster, which is just using single crochet two together (sc2tog) with a chain space to keep an even number of stitches. It gives great texture and is mindless enough that you can watch tv while working it.
I fell in love with this Yarn Bee Effortless Super Bulky in the colorway Misty Lake. I knew it would make an amazing blanket, so I set out to find a stitch pattern that would work well with it.
This yarn is 80% acrylic and 20% alpaca, so it has a very nice feel to it and was amazing to work with. I’d definitely recommend it if you happen to have a Hobby Lobby nearby (especially when they have 30% off yarn!).
If you have any super bulky yarn in your stash it would work well for this pattern, as gauge is not imperative when making a blanket.
