A cozy winter accessory, Eastward can be worn as a single long loop or doubled around the neck for extra warmth. It pairs a sculptural cable running the length of the cowl with columns of slipped stitches and a textured rib stitch.
The cowl is worked flat (back and forth) from a provisional cast on. After blocking, the two ends are joined with a three-needle bind-off to create the loop.
The pattern provides instructions for the crochet provisional cast on and three-needle bind-off, as well as helpful links. Stitch patterns are provided in written (line by line) form and in a chart.
