Easter Honey
I’ve taken part in the Cuddlebums Easter Sock KAL for a few years now. You receive a skein of specially dyed yarn with a mini skein that gives a pop of colour. The idea is you knit a pair of socks over the Easter weekend/break. This year as soon as I saw the colours I thought of honeycomb stitch so set to in working it into the top of a pair of socks. This is the result.
Difficulty
Knitted in the round these can be either knitted on double pointed needles using knit and purl stitches with decreases, colour changing yarn and a Kitchener stitch to finish the toe.
Yarn and Notions
4ply (fingering) weight sock yarn in two contrasting colours.
I used 212 meters of main colour (A) with 85 meters of the mini skein (B)
2.25mm (US 1) double pointed needles or small circular needle
Two stitch markers (optional)
Needle to complete Kitchener stitch/ends
