This is a cozy modern take on a classic granny square blanket, designed for those evenings spent with a good book and a warm cup of tea. For those times you feel so peaceful, hearing the fire crackling, and all you can think about is how you could just stay in this moment until the sun rises.

This pattern is suitable to crocheters with a beginner’s level of understanding. The pattern includes photo tutorials throughout, as well as helpful tips.

The size, colours and placement of squares in this pattern are completely customisable, but I have included detailed information and graphs for those who would like to make their blanket identical to mine.

To make a blanket just like the one pictured, you will need:

• 6.5mm hook
• Scissors, Tapestry needle
• Weight #5 bulky/chunky yarn (approx. 1363m total) in 17 colours

The patterns has detailed graphs which tell you approximately how much yarn meterage of each colour you will need.

The total size of the blanket is 115 cm x 125 cm, but like I mentioned before, the size is customisable by either adding or removing rows/columns.
