Dulcia is worked in pieces from the bottom up then sewn together. All waist shaping occurs on the Back. The button bands are worked in garter stitch at the same time as the Front pieces.

It is strongly suggested that you complete the Left Front before the Right Front. That way you can mark the buttonhole placement on the left button band and use that as a guide to place your buttonholes on the Right Front.
