Duchesse is worked seamlessly from the top-down. Delicate ruffles adorn the collar and cuffs to give the impression that you are wearing a feminine blouse under a basic wool sweater.
This sweater is knitted with a fingering weight yarn held double with a lace weight mohair yarn. The ruffles are knitted with two strands of lace weight mohair yarn.

Shown in size XS with 3¼’’ / 8 cm of positive ease at bust.
Chose a size with 2 to 5’’ / 5 to 13 cm of positive ease at bust.
Bust circumference of the finished sweater: 35¼ (38½, 42½, 46½, 50) (54, 57¼, 61¼, 64)’’ / 90 (98, 108, 118, 127) (137, 145, 155, 163) cm.

Please note that sizes 4XL and 5XL have unfortunately not been tested because I could not find any tester. If you want to knit one of these sizes, please contact me. I will be happy to send you the pattern.

Gauge
20 sts and 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm or 4’’ x 4’’ in stockinette st with yarns A and B held together, with 4.5 mm / US 7 needles,
after blocking.

3 (3, 3, 4, 4) (4, 5, 5, 5) skeins in the natural colorway OR approximatively 720 (815, 935, 1095, 1215) (1370, 1500, 1645, 1770) m of fingering weight yarn.

B. Soft Silk Mohair by Knitting for Olive, 70 % mohair / 30 % silk, 225 m / 25 g.
4 (5, 5, 6, 7) (7, 8, 9, 9) skeins in the Pearl Grey colorway OR approximatively 880 (975, 1110, 1280, 1405)(1565, 1710, 1855, 1985) m of a lace weight mohair yarn.

Needles and accessories
4.5 mm / US 7 and 3.5 mm / US 4 circular knitting needles.
Tapestry needle and stitch markers.

Duchesse se tricote du haut vers le bas sans couture. Ce chandail est construit avec un empiècement en rond. Des délicats volants ornent le col et les poignets pour donner l’impression que l’on porte une blouse féminine sous un chandail de laine basique.
Le chandail est tricoté avec un fil de grosseur « fingering » et un fil d’un mélange mohair et soie de grosseur dentelle. Les volants sont tricotés avec deux brins d’un mélange mohair et soie de grosseur dentelle.

Tailles
XS (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL).
Le modèle présenté est tricoté dans la taille XS et est porté avec 3¼ po / 8 cm d’aisance positive.
Choisissez une taille mesurant 2 à 5 po / 5 à 13 cm de plus que votre tour de poitrine.
Tour de buste du vêtement terminé : 35¼ (38½, 42½, 46½, 50) (54, 57¼, 61¼, 64)’’ / 90 (98, 108, 118, 127) (137, 145, 155, 163) cm.
