Dubbel Dark is a top-down tee with a few special details. Working in stockinette allowed me to pay extra attention to fit, so I did a couple of subtle things to make this tee work exactly the way I’d hoped! The shoulder is a combination of saddle and raglan shaping, adding a touch of structure to the shoulder. Lace along the raglan portion is simple and bold.

The sleeves are short and rounded out just the slightest bit. Length is cropped so the ribbed hem sits perfectly above the hips. And all of this is easily modified if desired.

I couldn’t resist adding something to take advantage of the stitch definition. Lace and ribbing at the hem make the tee a bit more interesting, with an easy, bold motif before binding off.

Ultra Alpaca comes in a stunning array of heathered shades, and the different colors in the fiber show up beautifully in smooth stitches. The wool and alpaca mix here adds beautiful drape to the lightweight, wear-anywhere fabric. And it knits up in no time on a US#8/5mm needle!

This pattern was a breeze to knit, fun to design, and flew off my needles in just a few days.

To be honest, it wasn’t a planned part of my Fall lineup, but as I looked at my stash one day, the yarn jumped out to me, and I became obsessed with the idea of a simple, everyday tee that would feel less rustic than some of my usual designs. Between work on my more detailed projects, I was happy to have this to pick up, as stockinette is always a lovely break - and before I knew it, another design was added to the list!

Lace hem is both charted and written. As always, notes are included in the pattern on ways to modify this design for fit.

Note: If you’re wondering, this pattern was not test knit due to the timing of my other projects and the logistics of adding one more test to the schedule. It was instead given an extra round of editing and has been looked at by two of my favorite tech editors, who I trust implicitly after years of projects together!
