Dropped Petals Crescent Shawl
Summers where I live are not long so we try to enjoy every warm day we are given. Flowers that bloom in May fade by June. Every flower has its day and then fades to be replaced by the next blossom. Petals flutter in the wind to be replaced by fruit in the fall. There is always something to look forward to if you look.
Dropped Petals is an asymmetrical crescent shawl worked in Garter stitch. Lace wedges are worked in short rows to mimic petals blowing in the breeze. This wide shawl requires two skeins of fingering weight yarn and is a light layer for chilly evenings and the transition to fall.
