This very simple pattern is a great introduction to knitting for beginners - in fact, I often used it when teaching knitting at our local fashion college. The students were always delighted at how quickly they could create something. The speed at which it can be knitted makes it a great gift-giving project.

Materials required are as follows:
Colinette Point Five 100% pure wool **
(50 m per 100 gm skein)
3 x 100 gm skeins of chosen shade
1 pair 15 mm (US #19) needles
