Dressing Gown with Hat and Slippers
by Debbie Bliss
2 Gauges are given: 32 st/30 rows to 4” on 4mm needles over pattern); and 22 st/30rows to 4” in straight stitch.
Slippers are worked with 3 1/4mm needles; no gauge given for them, but it is certainly finer.
Jaeger Baby Merino DK has 130 yds to a 50g ball.
Dressing gown calls for 8-10 balls, plus 1 in contrasting color.
Hat and slippers require 2 50g balls, plus contrast color.
I’ve made the slippers and they require only a fraction of 1 ball. As for the hat, there doesn’t seem to be any photo of it at all in the book (?!)
The slippers are fun to make, work up quickly and perfectly, and make a great baby gift.
