Safely store your Christmas morning PJs inside this cuddly zip up reindeer case. This would make a lovely gift for a child at Christmas to bring cuddles and comfort at bedtime. This deer is knit in fleecy bouclé yarns to make them extra cuddly.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, this deer is made from chunky weight polyester boucle yarns, plus an acrylic DK yarn for the scarf, and all piece are knit on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES:
A pair each of 3.75mm and 6mm single pointed knitting needles (US 5 and 10).

RECOMMENDED YARN:
For the fleecy deer yarn, King Coles Cuddles Chunky, 100% polyester, 50g/125m per skein; two balls of shade “Teddy Brown 300”, and one ball each of “Toffee 3140” and “Poppy 3367”. For the scarf, King Cole Pricewise DK, 100% acrylic, 100g/282m per skein in shade “Shamrock 39”.

NOTIONS:
Tapestry needle, toy filling, two 15mm toy safety eyes, a closed end zipper, 30cm/12” long, pins for making up and lockable stitch markers.

SIZES:
One size only - 57cm long when lying down measured from toe to toe (or hoof to hoof!).

TECHNIQUES:
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
