Dreams Cardigan is a simple cardigan with a huge personality - with a personalized intarsia motif on the centre of the body worked in brushed mohair. When I was a child, I wished for a cockatoo as a pet. And now the dream has finally come true. You can choose to use one of the accompanying diagrams for the motif or you can follow the instructions to create your very own motif and perhaps make your childhood dream come true? Dreams Cardigan is worked from the bottom of the back piece back and forth in stockinette stitch with intarsia technique. The motif is worked in 4 threads of Cava and the rest of the sweater in Nobilis and Cava held together. After the intarsia section stitches are bound off at the bottom of the neckline and the shoulder sections are now worked separately. First, decreases are made towards the neck to form a beautiful neckline. The sloping shoulder is shaped using short rows, and finally the rounding of the back of the neck is made working increases. Stitches are cast on at the bottom of the neckline for the front piece, which is worked back and forth.
The side seams are sewn together with mattress stitches, and the body is finished with a ribbed edge in half twisted rib. Stitches are knit up along the armhole and the sleeve is worked with decreases on the underside and a wide trim in half twisted rib at the bottom. Plackets and neck trim are worked in one piece using the double knit technique. Finally, the motif is brushed making the mohair fibres even fluffier which creates a 3D effect.

The model has a positive ease of 15-20 cm in size XS-XL and 10-15 cm in XXL-XXXL. This means that you should choose a size that measures 15-20 /10-15 cm more than your own chest measurement. If you have a chest measurement of 96 cm, you should choose a size M with a circumference of 116 cm.

Dreams Cardigan er en simpel cardigan med en kæmpe personlighed i form af intarsiastrikket motiv midt på kroppen i børstet mohair. Da jeg var barn, ønskede jeg mig brændende en kakadue som kæledyr. Dreams sweater strikkes fra bunden af bagstykket frem og tilbage i glatstrik og med intarsiateknik til motivet. Motivet strikkes i 4 tråde mohair og resten af cardiganen i Nobilis og Cava holdt sammen. Efter intarsiasektionen lukkes der masker af i bunden af nakken og skulderpartier strikkes videre hver for sig. Først laves der indtagninger mod nakken for at danne en smuk udskæring bagtil. Herefter formes den skrånende skulder ved hjælp af vendepinde, og endelig laves rundingen i halsen fortil ved hjælp af udtagninger. Der slås nye masker op bunden af halsen, og forstykkerne strikkes frem og tilbage. Sidesømmene sys sammen med madrassting, og kroppen afsluttes med en ribkant i drejet rib. Der strikkes masker op langs ærmegabet og ærmet laves med indtagninger på undersiden og en bred ribkant. Knapstolpe, knaphulsstolpe og halsen bliver strikket ud i ét med dobbeltstrikkede kanter. Afslutningsvis børstes motivet, så mohairfibrene rejser sig og skaber en 3D-effekt.
