Dream
My inspiration this winter has been clouds -- dreamy, fluffy, with a touch of escapism. This sweater is all those things and more. Knit from the top down, it’s a satisfying project that is easy to wear. Comfort knitting at its best.
Introductory price -- 20% off through Friday, March 4th -- no code needed!
Finished Sizes
32 (36½, 40, 44½, 48,) (52½, 56, 60½, 64)“ bust circumference. Pullover shown measures 40”, modeled with 4” ease.
Yarn
Wool and the Gang Alpachino Merino (60% merino, 40% baby alpaca; 110 yds /100 g): Ivory White 6 (7, 8, 9, 9,) (10, 11, 12, 12) skeins. Appx 660 (740, 820, 905, 985,) (1070, 1150, 1230, 1315) yds — exact yardage will vary!
Needles
Size 10½ (6.5 mm) 16”, 29” circular (cir) and set of double pointed (dpns) (or preferred needle for small circumference knitting) and Size 9 (5.5 mm) 16” cir, 29” cir and dpns. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions
Markers (m) (it is helpful to have 2 different markers, one set for the raglan increases and another set to mark the faux cable on the sleeve); stitch holders/waste yarn; tapestry needle.
Gauge
14 sts and 21 rows = 4” in Stockinette Stitch on larger needles
To save time and ensure proper fit, please take time to check gauge.
Notes
This is a raglan pullover worked seamlessly from the top down with faux cables worked the length of the sleeves. Short rows are used to shape the neck. A rolled edge is worked at the neck and sleeve cuffs. Option to knit the body inside out to avoid purling!
