Dragonspine Scarf
This is a Tunisian crochet pattern that is worked in short rows, which form the curves of the ‘spikes’ along the dragon’s spine.
I wanted to do something wildly colourful, which I managed to do with this pattern, but it could be done in just one colour, two colours, or a self-striping yarn - whatever takes your fancy.
You can decide to shorten or lengthen it, depending on your preferences or the size of the recipient.
My sample uses twelve colours (one 50g/125m ball of cotton yarn in Weight 2 for each colour), plus a contrast colour (50g/125m cotton yarn, Weight 2) for the ‘spine’. This comes to 750g/1625m in total.
