This “Dragon Scales” Hat features a textured “scale-like” pattern with lacey cuff!

Make this fun hat in a variety of yarns for different looks: Using metallic, self-striping, variegated and optional ribbed cuff.

The lacey cuff is knit flat and the main hat is picked up from the convenient garter stitch “bumps”. The fun “scales” on the main hat are made by slipping stitches. The pattern includes photo tutorials to guide you step by step.

This is an adult size hat which fits teens through adults with head circumferences up to 21-23 inches. Size can be customized which is included in instructions.

Worsted weight yarns are used for both the cuff and main hat. Models shown using Red Heart Boutique “Unforgettable” self-striping yarns with Caron Party “Sparkle” cuff. Red Heart with Love model shown in optional Ribbed version, suitable for men.
