Dowth Slouchy Beanie
Dowth is one of the three megalithic passage tombs, along with Knowth and Newgrange, in the Brú na Bóinne heritage site. An unprofessional excavation in 1847 has left Dowth in less than stellar condition, so visitors are unable to enter the tomb.
The sun carvings on the stone marking one of the entrances serve as the inspiration for this slouchy beanie. Knit and purl stitches create a sun design that is the focus of this hat.
This pattern is part of the Malabrigo 2023 Quickies collection.
