Here is a fun way to try double knitting and end up with a fantastic scarf. In double knitting you knit the back and the front at the same time. This scarf focuses on just the knitting, so there is just the long tail cast on and a traditional cast off. Since fringe is used no one will be the wiser. A great project for getting fast at two handed knitting. Pick a fun fake fur and a worsted weight yarn and give it a try. I have also included a fun, easy scarf to try if you just can’t stand this technique of double knitting, but do give it a fair trial!

This pattern uses 120 yards of a fake fur such as Plymouth Yarn Furauro, and Berroco Suede, or 120 yards of some other worsted weight yarn and was knit on size 8 needles. It finishes to 60 inches long and 4 inches wide.
