This is an easy pattern, worked in heavy weight wool yarn on size 10 ½ needles. This pattern is worked in stockinette stitch. Simple chain stitching is used for detail work. The knit side will be the right side. This pattern uses heavy weight wool yarn, in colors of your choice. Each ornament uses approximately 8 yards of heavy weight yarn for 2 pieces. The finished project is then fulled in the washing machine. You will need a #16 embroidery needle or similar needle, for embroidery stitching Heavy weight gauge- 3 st per inch /5 rows per inch.
