Double-knit Socks
by Val Slemko
Yarn requirements (from pattern): About 4 ounces (110 grams) total of fingering- to sport-weight yarn at 20 wraps per inch. Val used two-ply yarns, with white Merino/angora for the lining and gray wool/kid mohair for the outside. in testing, we discovered that it’s better to use a slightly lighter weight yarn for the lining ….
Note: This book was published by Interweave Press as the outcome of a sock design contest in Spin Off magazine, using handspun yarns. Commercial yarns equivalents are given for most patterns (but not this one).
