Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover is a three-color, half-circle shaped shawl designed for Sport weight to Worsted weight yarns in solid colors.

Starting with plain garter stitch, the shawl continues with a second section in mosaic, a third characterized by a slip-stitch combination and ends with a wavy stitch pattern. An i-cord keeps the edges of the shawl neat and tidy. The quantity of stitches and techniques used make this shawl a fun and engaging, but also quite easy knit.

MYak Tibetan Cloud (100% wool, 300 m / 328 yds per skein – 1 skein = 100g / 3.53 ounces), Sport weight:
1 skein in color A, shown in Salvia Argentea
1 skein in color B, shown in Genziana
2 skeins in color C, shown in Cannella

For my sample I used 0.6 skeins of color A (180 m / 197 yds), 0.8 skeins of color B (240 m / 262 yds) and 1.3 skeins of color C (390 m / 426 yds).

Please note that yardage is an estimate and depends on knitting style, tension, yarn and needles used.

Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover è uno scialle semicircolare in tre colori disegnato per filati da ‘Sport’ a ‘Worsted’ in colori solidi.

Cominciando con una semplicissima sezione a legaccio, lo scialle continua con una seconda sezione in mosaico, una terza caratterizzata da un punto a maglie passate e termina con un punto ‘pizzo’ ad onde. Una i-cord rende ‘puliti’ i bordi dello scialle. La quantità e varietà di punti e tecniche utilizzate rende questo scialle molto divertente e interessante da lavorare, pur restando piuttosto semplice.

2 matasse nel colore C (per il mio scialle originale ho usato il ‘Cannella’)

Per il mio scialle originale ho usato 0,6 matasse del colore A (180 m), 0,8 matasse del colore B (240 m) e 1,3 matasse del colore C (390 m).
