Domino Mitts
These simple colorwork/stranded knitting mitts are worked in the round from the picot-edged hem up to the cuff. They feature simple geometric patterns on the hand and thumb. They feature a thumb gusset for a nicely fitting mitt. Sizes available are: 6 ¼” (6 ¾, 7 ½)”/16 (17, 19) cm circumference measured around knuckles, and 7 ½” (19 cm) from top to bottom edges, for women’s sizes Small, Medium and Large.
These were designed to work with one Transitional Pack from Wooly Wonka Fibers. (Sample was knit in the Road to Oz colorway). They may be knit with any fingering-weight yarn and would be a great way to use up sock-yarn scraps by choosing random colors to work the stripes and patterns in.
They are named after one of the fashionable Mod-look shops of the 1960s along Carnaby Street in London. This pattern is also available as part of the 7-piece Carnaby Street Collection as well.
