Dissension, a bit reminiscent of the collar that Judge Ruth Bader Ginsberg wore when she dissented on rulings in the Supreme Court only in a longer cowl/poncho version.
Whether you make a political statement or just knit a pretty accessory, you’ll love this project. Remember doing the right thing is always the right choice!
This poncho is knitted from the top down and in the round with an easy two color Intarsia method. Triangular stitch patterns, color changes and increases lead to a flared dotted border.

Measurements: Bottom circumference 64”, Neckline circumference 26”, Length 16.5”.
Yarn
C1- 1 skein of Five Wise Owls Pima cotton in a DK weight, 218 yards in color Storm Clouds.
C2- 3 skeins of Textured yarn cakes, thick & thin blend of Cotton & Linen in a light fingering weight, held double throughout. 250 yards per cake in color Silver.
C2 could alternatively be done with a sport weight yarn, about 365 yards.

Notions used
US size 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles
1 in a 16” (41 cm) in length
1 in a 40” ( 102 cm) in length
Stitch marker
Darning needle or crochet hook for finishing
Gauge
20 sts and 24 rows in 4” of Stockinette stitch in DK weight.
Techniques used
Knitting in the round, color changes, Intarsia, increases, purling, stretchy bind off.
