Dippy is a huggable dino toy. Inspired by a Diplodocus and a T-Rex, this pattern uses increases and decreases to shape the toy plus intarsia colour-work to create the tummy.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the dinosaur is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/280m skein in each colour

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, and buttons and beads to decorate.

SIZES
One size only - Dippy is 17cm tall (standing).

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
