Dionysus was the ancient Greek god of the grape harvest and wine; it was also at his festivals that the Greek theatre was developed. This suitably dramatic wrap features a pretty picot edging and interlocking diamonds, together with a simple eyelet lace pattern in the shape of a bunch of grapes.

Miranda Jollie enjoys knitting and designing as a contrast to her day job as a criminal barrister. Prior to studying law, she took a degree in ancient history and retains her interest in classics; she is also a keen cook and allotment holder!

You may like to use markers between pattern repeats; if so,
it may help to use different colour markers to distinguish
them from the markers dividing the garter stitch border from
the main pattern.

If you would like to make a wider or narrower wrap, simply
reduce or increase the number of sts cast on by a multiple of
12 (which will reduce or increase width by approx 5cm/2in
per 12 sts) and follow instructions as above.
