Dinky Mice
These cheeky little Dinky Mice are having some cheese for lunch. You could make your mice as toys, add to key chains, or even hang from your Christmas tree. You only require a small amount of yarn to knit each mouse, so this is a super pattern for using up ends of skeins/balls to avoid waste.
Most pieces are worked flat (back and forth) on a pair of straight single pointed knitting needles, not in the round. The arms, feet and tail are i-cord worked on two DPNs. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, these mice are knitted in acrylic DK yarns.
NEEDLES
A pair each of 4mm single pointed knitting needles and DPNs (US 6)
RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; less than 15g in each colour.
NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, and beads for eyes.
SIZES
One size only - 10cm tall.
TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
