This seeded rib hat is my default hat pattern – it’s the one I cast on whenever I don’t have a particular project or pattern in mind but want to knit something new anyway. The simple pattern is easy to memorize, including the crown decreases.

Circular knitting needle and double pointed needles (dpn) in size US 6 (4.25 mm) or size to obtain gauge
