This is a lace scarf knitted from both sides and sewn together in the middle so that the lace pattern shows in the same way on both sides of the scarf when worn.

The gauge is not very important unless you want to knit the scarf exactly as shown and using the one ball of Kidsilk Haze - there was very little yarn left when I had finished the scarf.
