Diamond Twist Crochet Scarf
This pattern is made lengthways, so it takes a little time to get started and you need a little care when counting your foundation chain (stitch markers help!). Once you have completed the foundation you will find it works up quite quickly, with only 5 rows of main pattern and 2 edging rounds.
The diamonds are in the main pattern and the twist is a row of crossed stitches in the first round of the edging. I love the diamond pattern (maybe I am a bit obsessed with it!) and have worked it into several items – scarves, a cowl, a pair of mitts and a hat, using different weights of yarn. They are all quite adaptable and will feature in an ebook covering many variations on the diamond theme. So far the ebook contains 3 designs.
The scarf is 14 cm (5½ in) wide by 160 cm (63 in) long when blocked.
The pattern is written in English and US crochet terms, and is charted.
