This pattern is also available on Etsy: Gamer Babe Designs.
I grew up in the Eureka Valley neighborhood of San Francisco. The elementary school I attended was on Diamond Street. The school closed when I was in 7th grade, but I have fond memories of the school and the park next to it where I used to play kickball and hit tennis balls against the gym wall.
Diamond Street Cowl has a diamond stitch pattern created by traveling twist stitches over a stockinette background. This stitch pattern adds knitting interest and visual texture to the simplicity of knit stitches while letting the color(s) of your yarn shine. This cowl is one of four designs in the Kiss My Glitz collection in collaboration with The Black Squirrel, a cute little yarn shop in Berkeley, CA. They carry amazing indie-dyed yarn and dye ultra-cool yarns using black-light reactive dyes. See the last two photos.
