Looking for a textured crochet beanie that stands out? This crochet pattern for the Diamond Stitch Crochet Beanie is just the thing!

I used Lion Brand Scarfie again for this pattern because I just love the color changes in it.

It’s also so super warm and lofty, and since it’s a chunky (weight #5) yarn, it’s a super fast project.

If you’d like to substitute, any bulky yarn that gets gauge will work – I’ve found that a great substitute is Lion Brand Color Made Easy.

This beanie hat uses front post treble crochet to create the textured diamond effect. There are no cables or working in front or behind other stitches, so it’s not as hard as it looks!

The crochet beanie hat is worked from the bottom up with a front and back post double crochet brim, then the stitch pattern is worked to the crown, where the shaping takes place.

This hat looks just as good with or without a pom pom, so the choice is totally up to you if you want to add one. I love the way a faux fur pom pom looks, but prefer to wear hats without them, so I didn’t put one on this hat since it was for me.
