Diamond River Shawl
A beautiful triangular Shawl featuring an intricate Tunisian Crochet diamond lace pattern, worked up in 4 colours of Sock Yarn, fading from one to the other.
Delicate lace holes form diamond shapes across the Shawl, which slightly distort the background of the Tunisian Simple Stitch, creating a “river” effect.
This is the perfect Shawl for showing off hand-dyed yarn.
This pattern is part of the Diamond River Collection of Tunisian Crochet patterns, which also feature the Diamond River Beanie and Diamond River Socks

YARN
For this Shawl I used Hedgehog Fibres Sock (437 yards/400 meters, 100g, 90% Merino Wool, 10% Nylon). I used the shades Genie (yarn A), Boombox (yarn B), Crybaby (yarn C) and Déjà Vu (yarn D).
You can use any 4 shades of Hedgehog Fibres Sock to make this Shawl, as the colours will blend into each other as the Shawl is worked, although a set of 4 colours that fade into each other would be ideal.
For yarn alternatives, using any variegated Sock Yarn will accentuate the “river” element of the design.
