Crochet something beautiful and functional for your kitchen: The Granny Diamond Potholder. This potholder is a two-striped granny square, that when folded, makes a diamond pattern.

Unlike traditional granny squares that use the double crochet and have large gaps between each cluster, this pattern uses half double crochet stitches and only a couple of ch-sps to create a tighter/less hole-y square.

There is also an easy colour changing technique that will help you minimize the number of ends to weave in. Yay!
