Diamond Edges
by Nancy Lekx
Designed for a small skein of luxury yarn, this shallow, triangular scarf features a lacy stitch pattern on the long, shaped edge, and a simple, 2-stitch wraparound selvedge on the wingspan. Worked on a garter stitch background, the scarf is essentially reversible. These features make the project highly giftable. The small size means it can be knit up quickly while the reversibility means that your recipient doesn’t need to be able to discern between the right side and the wrong side for the scarf to look good when worn. With additional yarn, you might want to experiment with changing the rate of increases and decreases in order to make the scarf bigger—even up to the size of a large shawl.
