I have always been fond of vintage looks and clothing, silk kerchiefs and glamourous women in convertibles. This is my ode to that time and vintage. And as much as I admire that look I am personally a wool shawl and wrap up warm type of person. So this pattern answers to both sides of my personality.

This pattern can be anything from a small kerchief to a good-sized shawl. It is knit from the point up and is finished when you like the size. The pattern is shown in two sizes but is very easy to personalize. The simple point edging is knit at the same time as the kerchief/shawl body. The pattern is written and charted for the first 50 rows. After this point, maintain the pattern as set until the desired size.

The Kerchief/Shawl can be knit in the striping pattern as shown and is equally effective in a solid colour. It is an easy pattern to adjust. Make it larger by adding more repeats of the pattern or by working the pattern with a larger needle and a heavier yarn! Make it yours!
