The Diagon Ally beanie is worked in the round from the ribbing to the crown. The cables are worked over 2 stitches and I will give you all the information you need to work them without a cable needle. Your beanie will be that much faster to knit.
For the cast-on I suggest alternating the regular long-tail cast-on with the old Norwegian cast-on (1x1). Then work the ribbing accordingly. The cast-on will give you a little bit more elasticity and solidity.

Visualize … Harry Potter is with Hagrid, they come out of the Leaky Cauldron and immediately face a red brick wall. A few pink umbrella strokes and the wall fades away … Little by little, it disappears and gives way to the Diagon Alley.
That’s what you find in this hat, a wall designed with a few discreet garter stitches, which slowly but surely opens thanks to the cables.

Le bonnet Diagon Ally est tricoté en rond des côtes au sommet du crâne. Les torsades se travaillent seulement sur 2 mailles, je te donne toutes les instructions pour les travailler sans aiguille auxiliaire. Ton bonnet est d’autant plus rapide à faire !
Pour le montage, je suggère de commencer avec le long tail et d’alterner avec le montage souple norvégien (1x1). Puis de tricoter les côtes 1x1 maille torse endroit, maille envers. L’alternance du montage va donner une touche supplémentaire d’élasticité et de solidité.

Visualise… Harry Potter est avec Hagrid, ils sortent du Chaudron Baveur et ont face à eux, un mur de briques rouges. Quelques coups de parapluie rose et le mur s’efface… Petit à petit, il disparait et laisse place au Chemin de Traverse.
Voilà ce que tu retrouves dans ce bonnet, un mur dessiné avec du point mousse discret, qui s’écarte lentement mais surement grâce aux torsades.
