Desert Dreams
The Desert Dreams socks provide a bit of Desert heat no matter the weather outside! Drift into dreams of hot sand, golden sunshine and flowering cacti. The Desert Dreams socks are knit from the cuff down and feature an afterthought heel. Waste yarn is added to the leg and the heel is added after the rest of the sock has been knit. For an additional touch of cuteness flowers can be embroidered on to some of the cacti. The socks are available in size small and size large. The instructions for both sizes are the same, the difference in size is due to a change in gauge and needle size.
Sizing
The socks are available in size small and size large. Size small has a 8” (20 cm) foot circumference and size large has a 9” (23 cm) foot circumference. The foot length can be adjusted to any size. Socks have little ease and should be worn with no negative ease.
Gauge
Gauge for size small is 9 stitches per inch and 11 rows per inch in colourwork pattern on 2.5 mm (US 1.5) needles.
Gauge for size large is 8 stitches per inch and 11 rows per inch in colourwork pattern on 2.75 mm (US 2) needles.
