DESCRIPTION
DEREN is designed to be a pattern to return to — both because there are so many ways to knit it, and because the detailed instructions teach skills that can be applied to other knitting patterns. Deeply wearable and fully adaptable, this top-down set-in sleeve sweater features a classic silhouette with seamless construction. The pattern includes 12 sizes, optional horizontal bust darts in 6 sizes, 4 original video tutorials, and 3 custom-fit formulas for adapting the sweater to your body.
Please note: the custom-fit formulas are available only in the full Embody collection and are not included when this pattern is purchased individually.
SIZING
All of my garment patterns are #sizeinclusive up to at least a 60” full bust circumference.
DEREN is designed to be fitted in the shoulders and upper chest, with a small range of positive ease at the bust/chest and waist/hips. The pattern includes detailed instructions for selecting your size and a full schematic with 16 measurements.
In the pattern photos, Jacqui is wearing a size 9 with 4”/10cm of positive ease at the bust and no ease at the bicep.

YARN
This pattern is designed at a sport-weight gauge, which can be achieved with a number of different combinations of yarn. You can use a single strand of sport-weight or you can hold two strands of lighter-weight yarn together throughout.
If you hold a yarn double throughout, you will need to double the yardage shown below. Similarly, if you hold two different yarns together, you will need the full yardage in each yarn. If you choose a sport-weight yarn held single, you will need exactly the yardage shown below.
Please note that working significant adjustments to your sweater will affect the yardage.
