Deran is a little summer top, knitted all in stockinette stitch, with a plastron at the front and back somewhat in the spirit of the Petit Bateau tank tops from our childhood. Deran has a gathered body to have fullness, very pleasant when it’s hot, and double stockinette stitch straps. It is knitted in a cotton yarn, perfect for summer temperatures!

Sizes: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 7 – 8 – 9 – 10

• 3 – 4 – 4 – 4 – 4 – 5 – 5 – 5 – 6 – 6 skeins of Natissea Malva (col. ecru).
Approximately (for any DK yarn): 556 – 594 – 631 – 670 – 709 – 780 – 861 – 948 – 1036 – 1128 meters / 608 – 650 – 690 – 733 – 775 – 854 – 943 – 1036 – 1133 – 1234 yards.
• Needles: 3,5 and 4 mm / US 4 and 6 circular needles, 80 cm length, or size to meet gauge. (Provide two pairs of 4 mm needles).
• 2 markers (of two different colors).
• Tapestry needles, scissors, 1 meter of cotton twill ribbon (2 cm width).

Gauges: 20 sts and 28 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in stockinette stitch worked flat and in the round on 4 mm / US 6 needles with one strand of yarn, after blocking.
20 sts and 26 rows = 5 cm / 2 inches in double stockinette stitch on 3,5 mm / US 4 needles with one strand of yarn, after blocking.

Chest circumference (bottom of underarms): 80 – 85 – 90 – 95 – 100 – 110 – 120 – 130 – 140 – 150 cm / 31 ½ - 33 ½ - 35 ½ - 37 ½ - 39 ¼ - 43 ¼ - 47 ¼ - 51 ¼ - 55 – 59 inches.

To be worn with 0 - 5 cm / 0 - 2 inches of positive ease. To choose which size to fit, measure your chest circumference, add recommended or desired ease and knit the corresponding size in chest circumference. (I wear size 3 with 2 cm / ¾ inches of positive ease).

Deran a un corps froncé pour avoir de l’ampleur, bien agréable lorsqu’il fait chaud, et des bretelles en jersey double. Il est tricoté dans un fil de coton, parfait pour les températures estivales !

• Aiguilles circulaires n°3,5 et n°4 (longueur conseillée 80 cm). Prévoir deux paires de n°4.
• 2 anneaux marqueurs de deux couleurs différentes.
• Aiguille à laine, ciseaux pour couper les fils, 1 mètre de ruban de sergé de coton de 2 cm de large.

Échantillons : réalisé en jersey endroit, avec le fil choisi et les aiguilles n°4 : 20 mailles x 28 rangs pour un carré de 10 x 10 cm, après blocage léger.
Réalisé en jersey double endroit, avec le fil choisi et les aiguilles n°3,5 : 20 mailles x 26 rangs pour un carré de 5 x 5 cm.

Tour de poitrine (au bas des arrondis sous emmanchure) : 80 – 85 – 90 – 95 – 100 – 110 – 120 – 130 – 140 – 150 cm.

Aisance positive recommandée de 0 à 5 cm. Pour choisir quelle taille faire, mesurer son tour de poitrine, y ajouter l’aisance recommandée ou souhaitée, et tricoter la taille correspondante en tour de poitrine.
Je porte une taille 3 avec 2 cm d’aisance positive.
