The pattern calls for Sport Weight yarn, 1 oz (77 yards, 29 grams) each of Medium blue and light blue (for either size). The sample in the book was made with Berella Country Garden D.K., Delphinium #32 and Bayberry #31.

Size 3 (3.25 mm) double-pointed knitting needles or size required for gauge.

Size F (3.75 mm) crochet hook (optional for picking up stitches)

Size 18 tapestry needle

Gauge: In stockinette stitch, 7 sts = 1” (2.54 cm)

Foot length: 3.75” / 9.5 cm for the 6-12 month size; 4.25” / 10.8 cm for the 18-24 month.

The pattern is worked top-down.
